    82 fooler quad

I built this to go to a race today 11/15/15 . It was a drag race and cross country race. I called a few days ago and they said no three wheelers . So I built this.I didnt end up going because it lost spark and by the time I figured it out it was to late. But I will mx race it this spring.before 2015-11-13_16-31-00_866.jpg after2015-11-15_14-17-38_928.jpg

I love the look, both ways. Though Astro Kits are cool. Too bad they wouldn't let you race the ATC.

It is a 230 quadsport frontend welded on a 82 250 r frame.I built it back in the 90s.I borrowed everything else from my 81.

The organization that I mentioned it the first post is having another race near me in October. But it will be a hillclimb and crosscountry race. I put the parts back on my 81 250r this summer for flat track. But Im getting the parts together to put the quad back together without barrowing from the 81 except maybe the motor and pipe.It will be a stock length 82 oem swingarm. Im planning to race the XC. They don't allow trikes I will try and work on them to maybe get a trike class or run the trikes in with the quads.I raced this quad back in the 90s on mx and xc. There are a couple MX tracks in my area that have quad classes. Plus the track where I race TT runs quads Id like to try this quad on a TT track.I will post some pics as I rebuild it again.2015-11-15_14-17-38_928.jpg

I still like this bike. Not sure why but its just cool. Cleaned up with new plastics would look sweet.

Thanks oldskool. Im going to give it a good cleaning and paint for now. The swingarm in it in the pic is a plus 3 81 250r. With the stocker in it it will be short. But it handles great for XC racing not so much for MX .I have a stock length Nasa axle for it. Short and narrow for XC.

XC they say is 46" but heck that's the same type of riding I do and all my bikes are 50" no issues.

Some nice Zest orange 250R plasics would look sweet with a white frame. Throw

    Did you increase the compression?

Not sure if you referring to engine compression or rear shock compression. I will answer both. Engine compression is stock with a DG head. Rear shock is Works triple rate. Before the triple rate I ran the stock shock with plus 3 swingarm on the trike and it would only bottom out on big jumps. The engine has plenty of power for the extra weight of the quad frontend.

Im back working on the quad .Last year I put everything back on the 81 250r trike incase I needed it for TT racing. Few weeks ago I started getting parts that I needed to put this together and also have the 81 250r trike. I have a motor Im working on to go in it . Thinking about putting the 300r topend on it.Ordered some parts from Honda dealer today.Hoping to have it ridable this week.
