So I have this Alt 185 and I've seen something on here about front suspension. How was it done?
So I have this Alt 185 and I've seen something on here about front suspension. How was it done?
that thing is sick, however...
i consider myself to be the alt guy (i have all of them)
i would not molest such a rare bike, it was only made 1 year!!
buying a 200x would be easier, cheaper and still beat a suspended alt.
my advice buy a 200x keep the alt stock.
Suzuki ALT 50: Skeeter
Suzuki ALT 50: full suspension kit: the grasshopper
Suzuki ALT 125: The Toad
Suzuki ALT 160: Was a Quad runner 160: The Tri-Runner
Suzuki ALT 185: The Warthog
1979 Subaru brat: daily driver almost 400k runs strong
NEED ALT 50 SEAT PAN
Bolt on mods such as front suspension can be reversed. It's not molesting it. And if you ask me, finding a rare bike, and making it even more rare by finding aftermarket kits and parts increase the cool factor tremendously and the price also reflects that.
And let's face it, they are not the most desirable trikes (alt's in general). I still like them and think they are cool as heck though.
try ebaying a modded trike vs stock and tell me if you get any money back you put in.... it will decrease the value, someone who is looking for a alt 185 either because they had one as a kid or just want it due to its rareity will not want one built for someone elses style, i say this because i am that guy.
na there not that great btw lol

There is exceptions, as your stating. Complete, OEM, collector condition. Then yes, please do not change anything.
But a run of the mill alt, worn in, mod it all you want I guess.
i guess its his choice no matte what we advise. the alt depending on cond is worth 400-1200 in working order that would easily bring a atc200 or similar which are better trikes altogether
