    Great info, Keister!

I forgot about the "reciprocity". I vaguely remember reading about it somewhere but, since we have no registration in TX, I disregarded.

I should be able make this but I can't get there until the evening of the 5th (coming from Vegas). Will there still be a lot of people around on the 6th?

Sorry to hijack thread but someone used a neat GPS app a couple years ago and it tracked / traced the rides very well anybody know what that was ? I tried the "Mr Clean" recommended app but had problems.

Thanks for the offer! If I make it, I'll most likely stay in El Centro at a hotel.

You would be better off staying in Yuma and not El Centro, El Centro is West of the dunes and Yuma is East.

Weather has been around 80s during the day and high 50s at night.
Yuma is def closer to butter cup and gordons/ogilbey.
The Q casino will have the closest rooms to stay

Bring a passport if u want to check out algadones mex. popular spot for trinckets, tacos, beer, cheap precscriptions, and cheap dental work. Boarder closes at 10pm. Secure paid parking on US side and walk across if anyone is interested

I agree with Mike if your at Gordons stay in Yuma, but if your going to Glamis Brawley would be best but remember overly lock your prized possessions there a lot of theft down there!!!!
And if you go to Mexico passport not required all I take are birth certificate and drivers license! That is all that is needed and if you drive down there prepare for 2 hour wait to cross back on car unless you have Fast Pay or Sentri, with either one of those 30 minute wait to cross on vehicle.

I have never heard of this on previous trips. Is this a place we can ride to?

Algadones is across the border from the Q casino. The casino has the closest rooms to rent to the dunes if u you visit the buttercup or gordons well area. I was just putting that info out for anyone who might be interested in buying small souviners, eat some authentic mex tacos, or wants to take home some inexpensive tequila. The dollar exchange rate works in our favor and small goods are cheap to buy. Algadones is an extremely popular spot for the senior winter population that mostly come from NW united states and canada, locally known as snowbirds. The dunes do extend far into mex but they are similar to what is on the california side unless you went all the way down to where the dunes meet the beach which is about an hours drive from the boarder.
