Not ready on the forks yet...

Did install all the new bolts on so everything on the swinger is new bolts.

Yes this was his frame. I took over the project and modified it for what I think is best.

Here are some updates photos and details.

Top end will be natural alloy color with clear costing on it.

The Wiseco piston is preped and ready for installation. This motor had very lot hours on it. I was surprised at the lack of wear on any of the internal parts or clutch. I went ahead and rebuilt it and put new clutch parts in just for good measure.

Always wondered about the wiseco hi-comp pistons for the 350x, if they were worth opening a low hour engine up and putting one in for a power gain? Nice build by the way.

there is about a 2-3 HP increase over stock piston average and with proper supporting mods who knows. this build will be about 8-10hp over stock due to all the mods and supporting stuff for it. Everything from carb swap to cam and springs and piston. Also high quality exhaust and header being installed to finish it. so it will be sweet when done!

Yeah sounds like wouldn't be worth opening up my stock motor just for a piston. Like you said you would want to compliment the piston with all the other modifications and I'm not ready to ruin a survivor original for that. All the best with your project.

I don't think you would ruin it, but Mike would build a full blown race motor for a crate trike and turbo a AMC Pacer. Some people like to tinker, when I was a kid in school I would mod ink pens for smoother action.

What carb and exhaust did you go with? Looking sharp! One other quick thought - wouldn't the clear coat 'yellow' fairly fast due to the heat these air cooled motors make? Just curious

i am running a mikuni round slide 38mm carb. and a Fatty SS-header. i have not decided on what stinger (muffler) to run. I was toying with the idea of a 450R one.

the engine heat clear will not yellow. that is what I used. it has ceramic in the paint that helps keep it form turning. Now there is not enough to trap hear. only to keep the paint from burning off.

Yeah true that Milner, I love to tinker, nothing better than it. Probably should leave my 350x alone and start on this 70..

You could build a basket case motor to play with.
