    ATC 350x camshaft question.

    I'm putting a Megacycle 162-30 grind cam in my 85 350x
I'm getting HD springs and chromoly retainers
    Also getting 4 new valves.
My question is...do I have a different valve clearance (lash) now? Or can I just set it to the manuals spec?

megacycle should send a card with the cam that says what the clearance should be . . if they do not, call them and ask.

    It's more like .005 and .008, not OEM .003

Yes, you always set valves when the piston is at TDC of a compression stroke.

Thanks. I thought I read that some after arket cams had a different procedure. Here's the card that came with the motor.

Yeah, that card makes sense. All you care about are the last two numbers. .004" intake and .006" exhaust with the piston at TDC on compression stroke.
