    Choke Lever Spring - 250SX

Can anyone confirm the existence and function of the spring in the screenshot below from partsfish.

I recently replaced my choke cable, and the slide won't stay put unless I hold it in position, I noticed on partsfish they show a spring, which I do have in my baggie of "Extra" parts.
I just didn't put it back in, is this what holds the choke slider in position?

If it worked before, I'd say the problem lies in your bag of left over parts. Why not put them together right the first time? There is no such thing as "extra" parts when you put something back together.

it was the little spring, I put it back in and it works correctly now. I have other parts in the bag for components I am still working on, they will go back on, I must have put the spring in there with them. Easy enough to fix. I've seen other posts on here about the choke slider not staying in position, hopefully this will help others.
