Looks like you had to put nuts between the sprocket and sprocket hub to get the correct spacing. Care to go into detail about getting the sprockets to line up?

i did use nuts to space the sprocket to the correct spot. and then i had to find longer countersunk allen bolts to bolt it up. maybe not ideal but then again it is not a 80hp drag bike either. the 200x carrier has to be used since it is what fits the swingarm. the 300ex carrier is a little wider and will not work. you will have to install the larger diameter 300ex axle bearings since the 300ex axle is larger diameter. you will also have to file down the small lip inside the 200x carrier. easily done by hand with a file. then you have to use the 300ex bearing spacer/collar and it will have to be shortened some. that's going to leave you just a little too much space at your jam nut on the brake side. i got the steel insert from Rad Racing that they put in their billet axle nut and used that to take up the space made by shorting the collar some. you will have to use the 300ex caliper stay and a 300ex caliper bracket since the 300ex has a larger diameter brake rotor disc. sounds like a lot of work and it was but i like it better. 300ex axles are a lot easier to find and cheaper. or you can easily get extended aftermarket 300ex axles. my current setup is as wide as the stock axle that had wheel spacers.

    Good information, thanks for specifying.
I use a durablue 300ex eliminator 2+2 axle in my 350x. You have to have them press the 350x sprocket hub on for proper alignment.

Did you end up with that Northcoast swinger off ebay from a couple weeks back? Nice! How's it ride?

that's a keen eye you have. yes it is that swingarm. rides good. don't really have a lot of time on it yet with the new swingarm. still pulls wheelies with ease though.

    There is only .25" or less different between 86-87 200x axle / carrier and 87-92 trx250x / 93-08 trx300ex.

I had all the carriers and swingarms.

HRE made a 87 200x swinger with all 300ex geometry properly alinged to just bolt in a 300ex carrier and axle.

After i saw this i ended up putting a 2+2 300ex axle in my factory 200x 85 swinger. The 300ex axle is the narrowest of the TRX line.

Spacers and some light machining you can do this to all 200x's no problem. I proved it also.

To make the I.D. larger without changing the O.D., they have to use smaller ball bearings, which means the same load is now on a smaller area.
that is true but it is still just a stock 300ex bearing. not like they wear out way faster than a 200x bearing. on the flip side, you have a thicker, stronger axle. plus, with smaller ball bearings, you will have more of them in between the races.

300ex bearings and 86-87 200x carrier bearings about 100% the same except for 200x beaings are 35mm ID and all the TRX stuff is 40mm ID. Both are the same width. The carrier is only .25" wider on the 300ex lol. There for the axles were widen for the carrier bearing surface. I run OEM Honda 300ex bearings in my 85 200x swing arm. People over thing this. Quad stuff works anything just need to measure, make shims and re-bolt into place normally.

OEM carrier bearings all day long.
