Just a suggestion, but couldn't you just buy a block of hard rubber and machine out the grommet you need for your seat?
So my motor is done. Cleaned up, bottom repainted. Ready to go back in. It has been COMPLETELY disassembled. Cases split. Inspected, replaced any worn parts, cleaned internally. It was broken in already on the bike, then i took it back off and cleaned it up nice for final details. Only thing left that i may or may not do is get a polished bolt set for the motor to dress it up. But havent decided yet as i am going to ride the shiit outta this bike. With love and care of course.
Oh and i gotta clean up the clutch arm and cable holder still
That motor looks great!

Looking good
Got the motor back in. Exhaust everything mounted back up and ready to go. Just waiting on my XR carb (PD97A) and jets to get here and she'll be back up and running. Not even gonna bother firing it up until then. The cheapo carb is just not giving it enough fuel. So things i still need: white 85 250R front fender, red tank scoops, decals, and new tires to go with the rims i bought. Then things that are there and working but i want to upgrade are SS brake lines, new kill switch(mine looks janky) new levers, new brake pads, new shift lever, Headlight bracket, and maybe different handlebars. Here she is now as she sits

As always- Everything I post is IMHO.
Depends what youre looking for. If you're bike is stock, go with stock carb. Or some jetting changes with minor modifications. Or you can upgrade to a Honda Xr200 carb. Any year i think 81-83 and 86-2002. Double check the years though. You can find them on ebay for relatively inexpensive. They do however, still sell BRAND NEW Keihin PD97A carbs for some of the later XR's. 2001,2002 etc. Part #'s 16100-KT0-L00 and 16100-KTO-A10. Theyre about 150 bucks. If im not mistaken its the same carb im going to be using which is a PD97A. But i bought mine used. If you do switch to the Xr carb as an upgrade, you also need to use the XR intake manifold, mine are both coming off a 1991 Xr200. The intake is also still available from honda for around $26 bucks. I would Stay away from the 20 and 30 dollar amazon and ebay carbs. They may work just the way they come if you have no mods, but idk what jets you could use, if any if you needed to change anything. I tried one and my bike would only idle really really high bc i didnt know what jets to use or if any other brand would fit. i have a full pipe and filter, stock airbox, 10.25:1 wiseco

Thanks for the Information, I am keeping my engine stock. So I will try and find a used carb and rebuild it.
Got the Xr carb in. Got everything working. Had to mod the XR throttle cable to work by shortening it and resoldering the end that goes into the carb slide. I threw my oem front fender and tank shrouds back on for the time being. Just wanted to ride this beast and see it almost complete. So i am still going with a white 250R front fender, and red maier tank shrouds. Just havent gotten there yet. Also need my decals, and tires for my new rims still. But for now, it runs, rides, stops and is mostly complete. Still have to play with the jetting some. Was expecting a little more power outta this carb setup. Hopefully when i get her jetted right ill reap the benefits. I have the stock XR 110 main in, and a 40 pilot. How she sits at the moment
