    Tow with Honda 125?

Hey guy just wondering if anyone uses their 125 to pull a little trailer? I'm working on fixing up a 125 and I want to use it to pull a little dump trailer for moving fire wood, I know the Hondas have a low gear, just wondering if any one has pulled much with the little 125? Or should I not waste me time... Thanks

I would think you could tow a small trailer with some wood, just use the low range.

Mine is a '86 so no low range and it pulls my yard cart no problem.

I pull around the same little dump trailer that thefox has with my old 90, no problem whatsoever even with it loaded down with mulch or rock or wood etc. The 125 would make a great little yard machine.

I bought a parts 1977 ATC 90 down in farm country, some farmers used to own it before me, they made up their own trailer hitch for it outa 1/4" thick plate steel and a stick welder, its pretty hefty, it weighs a good 10 pounds. Its mounted into the skid plate, and I was wondering why it was mounted to the skidplate and not to that cast part on the rear carrier, well I guess the hitch used to be anchored to the cast bit, and they sheared it clean off, along with ripping the grab bar mounting bolts straight out of the frame. Thats a testament to how much a 90 can pull, if it ripped the hitch right out of its own frame.
1983 ATC 185s 200 jug bored .20 9.5:1 Naumura piston. Fast as ass when its not stretching the drive chain or stripping hubs.
1986 ATC 250ES. *Total garbage trying to sell it*
1983 YTM 200E. Runs good, forks are super bent but aside from that its mint.
1984 YTM 200L. Barn find, everything is mint except the bottom end is bad... *waiting on a new engine*

Lol that's crazy 81Atc, I got the 125 going, it smokes some but it runs so I'm not to worried about it. I might try to put new rings on it at some point but I've never done that before so I'll have to get good and prepaid for it.
Also got a 90, the back breaks are locked up on it and the carb is broken, he cracked the body on it trying to get the top cap off.... Lol a new Chinese copy is like 20$ online so I might do that if I can get the back end broke lose.

You can always change the sprocket. I'm not sure why they come geared so high. My 110 will hit 50 with me on it (eventually) seems a top speed of 40 in high would be sufficient. You could gear way down and pull a small utility trailer.

Low range 1st gear on a 125 will pull anything you hook to it. I once pulled a pallet (no wheels like a trailer = much resistance) with a full 16 gallon keg of beer and a 200 pound man on it about 1/4 mile uphill to a bon fire. That little 110 really eats. Let the 125 eat.

Haha that's awsome, I got the 125 going and it is diffidently a great bike for pulling things around, the low gear setting makes it a little power house! I need to get or make a new seat for it, the old one is some what roted out and after taking it out to the trail for a bit my ass is sore but it can climb hills and do doughnuts better the my Yamaha 125, but the Yama is more comfortable and a little less tippy but I think the tippy part might be the old crappy tires the Honda has right now
