    Larger tires on ATC250R

Is anyone running 22 inch rear tires on their 85-86 ATC250R? It is well past time to replace the rubber, but I wanted some feedback on handling/stability before going up in size. Thanks.

    I wouldn't run anything larger than 20'

It will just cause it to bog and be out of tune. Stick with what works.

My friends 86R has 22 in. Dunlap tires with the OEM pattern. Think they are off a 350X.

He doesn't like it. He describes the ride as not as stable.

Nor would I, but it really depends on what type of riding one wants to do with their ride.

Nothing a gearing change couldn't overcome.

Thanks for the replies. Since I had never tried 22" tires on it, I was hoping to get feedback from people that had. I guess I will stick with 20" tires. I DO like those Cheetah tires. I loved the OEM Dunlops that came with my 250R.

I ran 22" Stock 300EX tires on my 250R for a while. It was fantastic on really rough and rocky trails as they aided in softening the ride. The downfall is it raises the center of gravity a bit. For me, I liked it, but for woods riding ONLY. I prefer 18" on tracks or anyplace else besides trails.

I have 22's for snow but they're too big and heavy otherwise.

Maybe 24" spinners would be your style. Much smaller than the people suggesting 20' (!) tires. I don't think they even make 20 foot diameter tires.

Damn still using non turbo v16s huh guess that's why those trucks are always hauling ass around the quarry

I like how you went out of your way to find and post the specs on a Euclid. But it says the truck is only 11 ft tall. That is probably an aspect ratio or sidewall height on the tire.

Edit: 20 is the section width, I think. Tire sizes are confusing.
