Get under the wishbone where the 2 tubes meet the large tube (under the tank). You can gusset underneath that and go over the areas with your mig welder. While your welding, weld a 1/2" thick washer on the swingarm bolt.

Make a gusset under the left vertical riser where the motor mount is or wrap it.

It's time I try the tapa talk because I'd like to post some pics for you.....

What guage metal are you using? Looks to be 16ga. I would personally prefer 12-14ga. if it was mine I was doing.

I get what you're saying about the wish bone but I'm not sure I understand the other. I'd love a picture. Thanks for the help.

It's actually a little heavier than is probably needed. It's almost an 1/8 inch.

Made a fender brace. I will polish it before I call it done and it'll end up getting a white fender and I didn't have bolts for the front but you get the idea.

I'm working on 2 more gussets for the frame then I can get that welded up. Also waiting on an exhaust I bought. Made by HRE to adapt a 350x to a 450r can. I think this is just what I need for this build. The idea is to set it up so I can fit either a 400ex or 450r muffler on it and then I can get whatever aftermarket slip on I want.

In pics some of the 450r slip ons look different than the stock muffler and that header looks to eliminate the mid-pipe. I think dirtcrasher ran the stock 450r can with a free flow tip before. I have been searching on 450r exhausts. You might want a stock can to see how the rear mount lines up before you paint/pc the frame. Looks good so far. Nice gussets.

Thanks. I designed it in CAD and then cut it with a "LASER" (You gotta say it in quotes like Dr. Evil)

I like the gussets man, now all you need to do is offer a 400 service to install, take the money and never answer your emails. I'm kidding of course(that job is taken). I really like how professional this looks hopefully you'll bring it to trike fest when it's done.

I'm thinking about it; I'm back and forth on whether I want to go or not. Right now I'm thinking about going early in the week rather than when there's large crowds.

Got my header today. It looks and fits great. Gives plenty of room for the frame. The 400ex silencer didn't work but I knew that was a long shot. Anyone have a 450r silencer they want to trade? I have 2 400ex mufflers and maybe some other stuff if anyone is interested. Or if someone could lend one to me so I could test fit it? Anything would be appreciated.

Well came across a good deal on a 450r slip on. I had to drill a new mount hole but other than that it looks like it's meant to be. Now just a longer bolt and get a clamp I should be good.

That worked out nicely. Have you run it with the new exhaust?
