Big red 200e engine on ATC 185s

I just picked up a big red engine, from a 1983 200e and I plan to swap it to my 1983 ATC 185s. Any idea how difficult this will be, and will I be able to keep the starter? What will I have to do to get it to fit?

to keep the starter you will need to notch the frame a bit on the down tube. I heated and bent mine (200x) and then welded in a DOM tubing as a sleeve to give more strength (200xs like to break there), with a 185s you may just be able to ding it out with a and some heat.

Picked this up for $60, essentially the whole big red, minus seat, front fork, and a few pieces. 1983 200es, the fenders are from a 200m

Would it be better to try to put this engine on my 185s, or else get a front fork and put the big red together?

ok, apparently, 1983 Big Reds do not have reverse. Incidentially, can the Reverse Setup be used from an 84 or not? also, the high/low setup is missing from mine, the output shaft from the engine and the gear from the high/low is there, but the rest of the subtrans is gone, anyone have one?
