Any idea how to fix the handlebar vibration on a 86 200x? I thought I had posted this before, but can't find the post.
The vibration in my bars is getting next to impossible to stand anymore. Any help is appreciated.

I read somewhere that somebody put rubber damper/bushings in the handle bar mounts to get rid of the excess vibrations

I would find the source of the vibrations before anything. Loose exhaust bolts? Could be anything.
I know of two strokes if you don't have the little rubber dampeners in between the fins it's really annoying.

Honda 4 strokes are usually pretty smooth. Have the vibrations always been there, or did something happen and then they started?

First off, don't laugh, it helps. Take one of your grips off, take a can of expanding insulating foam and spray it through from the other side. It's going to start coming out of the side with no grip, when it does, stop spraying and plug the little hole in the end of the grip still on the trike and wait for it to stop spewing out the other side. I did this to my yamaha grizzly 660 and it helped quite a bit.

Add weights to the inside of the bar or just add some bark busters, they will lock them down.

I bought the x new, still enjoy it. There never was a headstay bolt in the bracket because the holes didnt line up. I never inquired about that and had no problems or vibration.

I'm not sure exactly what's causing it. I'm sure I'll find out when I pull the motor. Just figured I'd ask before hand.

When you say vibrating do you mean when riding over terrain that is rough, or when idling it makes your hands go numb? 2 completely different issues.
If during riding you can get a flexx bars or dampers. If during idle you have a bigger problem. A 200x should not have that much vibration. You have something wrong with the engine.

No, it's going over smooth terrain. Like down the road at around 3/4 throttle. Not even going to start on full throttle.
Flexx bars have crossed my mind. Any idea as to what the OD of the bars are? I've honestly never had the need to know.

They make an adapter to mount them to a 7/8" bar which was stock on the old trikes. The flexx are 1.25" I believe.
If your hands are going numb from that much vibration. The motor has issues internally. You need to look at a rebuild. Does it vibrate bad at idle and super slow speeds? If yes then it is in the crank area if no it is in either the trans or could be an axle or bearing back there. I would blast my 200x wot all the time with no issues. So it really sounds like you got other issues.
