Many of the cheap shops close because they can’t pay their bills. Whenever people shop for service; the first question is usually how much when the question should really be How Good.
Every 200x I have built here in the past few years has needed a rod kit, bored and or a new sleeve installed, new piston ect. ect. When you look at the cost of rebuilding it back stock VS. performance wise for not that much power gain with just a high compression piston and cam I started making the 250cc big bore strokers. Since you have to install a rod anyway, might as well stroke it for another $200 or so. If it's needing bored or resleeved might as well go big bore. Then the other cost is just boring the cases. Even if you spend $400 to $500 more the power you are going to get is big, and this is still a pump gas motor. I'll have the HP numbers in 3 weeks. It's not for everyone, this is for someone that wants to get some big HP over just a off the shelf piston and cam set up.
Got a hold of Fast Racing. I will send them my crank for rebuild.
Any hp numbers yet im interested .
I am gonna guess 27-36 hp, if it's more than that I will be shocked.
