    Timbers it is then
An alternative would be "1/2 thick, rubber strips. Similar to a conveyor belt.
We use 4-16" wide x 8' long. Allows the JD350c in the shop w/o floor damage.
    Nice shop!

I like the access hole to the upper shop(fork lift?). Very nice design!

Yep, fork lift. Tho maybe limited to 6ft forks. Tipping up will help. Looking at it now a beam with a trolley would be cool but I think the top of the fork mast/fork stop may hit so I will stay with forks.

Ah-it happens. The big question is how the installer deals with it.
    Rights doors-wrong track configuration?

Just out of curiosity since we do not have to deal with that much down here - it looks like that was basically filled in on the side of that down hill to make a pad for the foundation the structure. What do ya'll do afterwards to prevent erosion and it all from washing on down the hill? Any kind of a retention wall, or cover it with boulders and rock like drainage basins, or the grass holds it all together enough, or ?

One small area will require some boulder work for erosion, rest will have a gentle slope and be seeded

So the barn is 50x60. The rear metal shop is about 25x30. Above that metal shop will be the wood shop. The rest of the space will go floor to rafters, all open (for automotive work etc). Rear right corner behind beam is welding and fab. Upper woodshed will have stair and a garage door for access to use forklift to lift larger projects and tools up there. We will have 3phase and 110/220.
where in New england are you?I wanna come live there!
