    Well depends on what races you're doing...some races it's rider some it's machine. Desert racing I'd say is about 25% machine 75% rider, that's just my personal opinion. If you don't have a fast well-suspended machine, someone is gonna pass you, but at the same time you have to have endurance to deal with the heat and everything else that will affect you.

    i agree with ssj3goku. anyway...its great that we have so many great quads to choose from these days. just a few years back our choices were very limited!

    ... I hear ya Tim, totally ..... I do have to say though, I remember reading in DW that Rincon 650 that won the Baja was almost completely stock except for lighting and tires.

    i just re-read that article no too long ago. i think the modified it. i'll have to re-check. might of been just the airbox.

    yeah ..they modified the carb, airbox,exhaust and suspension. they also added a different cam and taller gearing. they also removed all the 4wd components.

    Just about...

    The 450R had the stock shocks, A-arms, S-arm, and Frame as far as I know of (mabey exhaust/engine...cant remember :? )



    And Goku...IMO...its 50/50 rider/machine. Those machines have to put up with 1000 miles of foot deep ruts, 7000+ RPM's, bone jarring rocks, and all that dust.

    Do u mean the 650 REcon or whatever it was called...i seen it in a magazine somewhere...it didnt look all that great to me but tahts my opinon.
