Can any buddy help out with the vin and the fact that the case is molded different? What about the fiberglass fenders? was that common?

Have you tried comparing it to the CR motors of that era? I'm pretty convinced it is a pre-production bike.
2 in the back, 1 in the front.
Its looks to be an atc motor it has forward kickstart and counter balancer. Is there any serial # on the steering head or anywhere around it.It most definately not an 82 frame.

I could not find any numbers or markings on the custom adjustable neck mount or neck. Did find out that you can adjust rake and trail from what I see(I think). The 2 bolts in the middle can be removed and replaced with longer bolts to make adjustments.
The 82 frame had air inlets at the steering neck and a square portion of frame over the airbox.

There are some funky stuff going on with this bike. What are those forks off of and I wonder why it has a disc rear, but drum front? Lots of unknown with this bike.
