If it something special it's hard to put a price on. It's really what say a collector or someone like that would be willing to pay for it. It would be a shame if it doesn't go to someone who knows what it is, just because it more than likely should have been crushed/chopped.

Sundahl was making fenders in 83' but I would say from the sticker under the front fender Honda R&D made those.

I don't think McCoy is going to get back to me, his last post on his page was from Jan. 1st 2016, so he seen my message I sent him back in 2015. And I don't think any other Team Honda racers from back then are on Fase Book anymore either.

I bet nobody thought this thing would pop up like this. Who knows what else is out there? I hope this one gets treated right and refurbished. Definitely museum worthy.

My thoughts exactly. To see it go to some that doesn't know it holds some sort of significant history in the world of racing and just roaches it out would be terrible.

So we are in the process of trying to get this thing running. We pulled the rotor to check things out and found the following. Rotor has 2 key ways and 2 set of timing marks. It also has a hand engraved number on it 9306. Any idea way it has 2 key ways and 2 sets of timing marks? Pics enclosed. Click image for larger version.

The reeds look stock. The flywheel has me scratching my head.Plus these air cooled Rs you can advance the timing with the slots in the stator.
