Its with great regret that we lost a Canadian performer in a crash today in his T28 adorned in USAF colours (like the red & white plane in the photos) at the airshow I was attending with my Army Jeep and Tri-x-Side. I know these things happen with the "edge of your seats performances" they do, but to witness it first hand it's sobering. I met Bruce Evans yesterday as we chatted about my US Army, M100 trailer in which he was inquiring as to where to get one to do acreage chores to tow behind his Jeep; heck of a nice guy I might add!
On a more positive note, the Tri-x-side was a huge success and was commandeered by some officers after the crash to get the Command Centre quickly when the Emergency Response Plan was activated. BTW, the Canadian Forces aren't hurting for equipment that bad, it was just handy at the time, lol. I think the 1942 German Army motorcycle with side car qualifies as a trike since both rear wheels are driven. Neat setup!
