    93 xr200r info.

I usually find broken down trikes, get them running and sell them at hopefully break even. I usually stay away from bikes and quads but stumbled on a yard sale with about ten different project bikes sold as parts bikes. I almost bought a 83 xr200 with a 200s motor in it for $50. But right by it, theres a almost complete 93 xr200r sine the 93 was cobbled together and I only had room for one project in my car I picked the 93. Hour later I get it home, open the petcock and gas leaks out of the carb bit it starts right up.
So the question is, after cleaning the carb and verify it runs good. Are these thing worth anything? Im missing the air cleaner lid and the side covers. Seats torn I may have to get a bonded title because its signed but not notorized. Might have about $125 into it with a title.
Is a 93 too new to be vintage but too old to be considered late model? Thanks. Jim

They're good trail bikes, not very powerful, but enough to get you through the woods with a smile on your face. They also make good engine parts donors for 200x projects. The cam and carb are both bigger than the ones on the 200x, and the six speed trans can even be swapped, although some feel it's weaker than the five speed gearbox.

The xr200 was actually a much taller, better suspended Nike up till about 87 or 88. After that, Honda lowered them and marketed it as a beginner/play bike
They seem to hold their value, up here I rarely see a clunker, and the runners all seem to sell for $600 and up.

put older shocks on from 84-90 models. they are adjustable then also. here is an 02 i did up with 86 shocks....it rocked the woods like nothing else. little tractors they are. 91 and newer has junk shocks, steel triple trees and rear shock linkages. the old stuff was aluminum. 93 is still vintage...xrs never changed from since 1984. 84 and 85's were the same just rfvc twin carb motors and orange.

I guess I learned my lesson on flipping dirt bikes.....dont.
its either over priced locally or its too old or kids perfer smartphones. Maybe I should have listed it as a pokemon go accessory. Like use the bike to hunt whatever kids are looking for. I may just haul it over to the dmv and get the title straightened out and learn to ride a dirt bike. Jim

If you fix it up it will be a very fun woods bike. I had road mine 3-4 days a week every day for like 2 years.

For $50 you did great. Especially with very little time involved. I would throw the rack on eBay. Definitely a god beater bike.
