That picture is pretty bad, but the 1987 trx motor was grey, not black. Course it could've been repainted.

I've seen the correct seat cover on 87 clones so if it was a true 87 and the OE cover did get thrashed why would you replace it with a non OE? Seems dumb to me but hey

Not likely to ever find an 87 in America. I think the best bet would be in Europe or Australia. That's if any ever escaped the factory.

ehhh my cousin's friend's dad's uncle's boss has 2. One in the crate and one he rides everyday but he won't let me take pictures of them.

Thus goes every 87R story ever told.

Aside from the motors and the replacement fenders, i don't think they exist outside of a few magazine articles and brochures...

Just wait. 50 years from now, they'll find an entire shipload of them at the bottom of the ocean, the only thing left being the rims and motor....

If he can not produce white OEM ATC plastics - that is a big tell tail sign.

    87 atc250r???? I think not.

Well my story is this, back in 1993, a guy who worked with my dad made a trip to Canada to make a group buy from a Honda dealer that was closing. My dad said that they picked up 2 white 250R's with the sale which went to other coworkers. My dad came out with a 1993 Honda 350 4x4 which was also not sold in USA at that time. Never saw but my said he saw them when they delivered. He was told that they where never assembled and had just gotten unpacked and assembled whenever they where purchased. I was kind of upset he didn't tell me about it beforehand. He said didn't see any purpose for a two stroke.

Well Rams I know a thing or two about Canada and how the Gringos like to party when they come to visit. I also know a bit about shielding my kid from harmful facts, but I think you’re old enough to hear the truth now, so I've revised your story to better suit the likely reality of that trip.

Never saw them, but my dad said they “bit like pitbulls”. He told “told my mom” that they “came from a toilet seat” and had just “hitched a ride back with him”. I was kind of upset he didn't tell me about it beforehand. He said didn't see any purpose.

    Whaaat??

I can't confirm any of what I said it was just hearsay. But my dad was the one who told me it. Don't shoot the messenger. That is pretty funny though.

Plus, I'll be honest, knowing my dad, they could've been Manco's. He probably did have his beer goggles on.

Hey Camexican, did I mention I'm not really a gringo? I'm 3/4 French and 1/4 Spanish, and I traced my tree through Canada and so technically I'm Part Canadian.

Cool! You should have gone with Camexspican, or Mexinadian instead of the name of an obsolete Canadian rubber.
