    My New 84 ATC 250R

I've been looking for a nice 84 250R and finally found one. In fact, I bought some pretty rare parts for it before I got the actual machine. I've got a new 300 kit and Westcoast swingarm that will eventually be installed. I'm looking to do an old school MX build. For now, I'm going to keep it as is. It's surprisingly zippy and fun in stock form, although the balloon tires leave a lot to be desired when it comes to handling. Anyway, I thought you guys might enjoy a few pictures of a pretty clean 84 R, the newest member of my growing 3-wheeler family.

It actually sold on ebay two weeks earlier for $2700. I followed the auction but it went too high. Then I noticed it was listed on Craigslist a week later so I contacted the guy and he said the guy never paid for it so it was still available. Score! I was so happy to hear that. When I went to look at it he insisted on $2500 but I only had $2350 so he took it. Cash in hand talks. There was an 84R in similar condition on ebay this summer that sold for $3200, so I consider it well bought. The guy I bought it from owned a dealership and had a lot of rare machines he was selling off, Tecates (3 and 4), a Tri-Z, 86 250R, TRX's, and a mint condition Quadzilla. Man, if I had the money I would have got that Zilla too. They will be appearing on ebay soon, he is having his mechanic go through them before they go up for sale.

Nice 84! post some pictures when you get the WestCoast swing arm installed. I definitely want to see his other machines.
