    First timer here!! Just want to introduce myself...

    HI All, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks in advance to all the help and suggestions that I look forward to having in this site! Just picked up a 1984 125M, a 1983 Honda 70, to which I just learned is the "Christmas special", and is somewhat rare. I am also going today to pickup a 1983 250R for myself... they are all projects, but looking forward to reviving these bad boys! I have a 7 year old son and a 5 year old daughter that I hope will hold the passion and excitement as when I was a kid! been riding since I was a little boy and cant wait for them to have fun with me!!

    Hi all, i just got back, and i decided on an 1985 250r!! Watercooled version, and i think an upgrade to the aircooled... paid 1060 bucks for it. Runs excellent, but a little fugly... want to put on mew plastics, and DEFINATELY needs new tires!!     Gotta got a question for you guys as well... I have a guy in my town that has an extended swingarm for an 84. Will that fit on an 85 water cooled frame?

    Some solid starting points you have there, on all those machines. Good deal on the 250r. Clearly needs a tidy up, but can't fault the price.

    Thanks all... i am 6' 2" and i need to get the rear moved out... too much lift in front going through the gears... looking at maybe a 8" extended swing arm and a wider rear axle. I dont like the way it wants to lift... im not 20 anymore!! LOL... what do you guys think?

    Forgot to mention i am at 250lbs... big boy on a big toy!! Also what do you guys suggest for rear tires? Holeshots? Gonna be dirt, and trails, then down the road i will get a set of paddles for pismo... im 2 hours away from there.
