This fella sells the RMC's for the Gen 2 and Gen 3 R's.

    Thats cool!

He also has stuff for the X's.

I bought a rear brake caliper for my 200x from this fella.

I have yet to install it as a new addition to my family has halted all ATC build progress.

Old thread, but has anyone purchased and run one of these? My '85 R has a pretty scratched bore on the master cylinder and it's tough to find a housing. I did a seal rebuild, but it leaked after a while again and I'm tired of brake fluid leaking everywhere. Any thoughts on fixing what I have?

Bryan Ditch had one on his 350X, the piston broke off the shaft that pushes on it. He said that was the 2nd time a rear caliper has failed.

I wouldn't use the junk, It's your brakes.

I'd adapt something new if rebuild parts and cores are unavailable...

my factory one leaked when I bought my trike . Bought a Chinese repro , never got good pressure. Bled it. Rebuilt my caliper. Still no good. Bought a shindy rebuild kit for my OEM one (luckily I saved it) and one bleeding session later I have nice rear brakes. So I guess I’d suggest buying a used one and rebuild it if yours is junked. I’ve heard 450 and 400ex ones work with a little modification. No exp with that on my end.

I wonder if there is a way to hone the stock body to get the scratches out? The seals I put in a year ago are not ripped, but obviously the fluid is leaking past them in the grooves. The brakes still work good, I just have to keep the reservoir filled cause it keeps filling the boot and leaking on the floor.

For the 350x rear caliper I run a CR80 front. I have had it for at least 4 years with no issues. Around $30 on eBay. Bolts right up with no modifications.

I've heard of people honing them with very small ball hones they purchased somewhere online. I'm sure they would glaze up a little after all these years.

    How deep are the scratches?
