So far we have stripped it down and sand blasted. Having it sent out for powder coat next week. Yeah i know its not original paint but im just looking to make a nice rider.

I have an option for you , it will only require slight fabrication to do but looks like it was meant to be, and more reasonable pricing. you can use a 250sx headlight assembly or a first gen 250r. the sx will clamp right on to the forks, but the 250r will involve drilling out the lower tree headlight bolt holes, and making some top tree mounting clips. If you go the 250r route it will look like this.Click image for larger version.

The 250r headlight looks darn good on there. I was thinking the 1st gen 200x headlight could be used with a little fab. Now seeing yours done which looks awesome by the way, i might look into doing the smae thing with the 200x. I have heard a 250sx would work. It looks like that mount has a hole on the bottom. Is there a metal mount used on the sx?

I had a 250sx on mine for a bit but when I sold the sx it went with it, only issue I had was with the sx one sliding down when riding rough trails. the sx one does bolt down at the bottom. I myself like the 250r first gen headlight myself, plus for me it was free as I was given a 250r parts machine and it was just sitting there.
