Group Buy - OMF Tri-Z Skid Plate (swingarm)

I have been talking with OMF production products about doing a special run of their Tri-Z swingarm skidplate. If we get commitments of at least 20, the price will be $125 each. Commitment of at least 10 price is $175

He said he already has somewhere between 5 and 10 names on his list and he is going to contact them this week to confirm they are still interested. I am good for 2 of them (might as well get a backup since these are so rare)

I don't know how much shipping is, the way I see it we have two options.

Option one.... pay them and have yours shipped to you.

Option two.... ship them all to me (or somebody else with a good reputation.... I totally u derstand I am new at this board) and I will have my local place powder coat them (I hope and assume the more they powder at once the better price we can get) and then ship them on on my company's ups account from here (we have decent ups rates)

Either way, I am really interested in getting this done and I hope there are several other guys that are interested as well.

They also made the engine skidplate, but, the guy said that would be a little more difficult to get another run of, but, he said anything is possible if enough people are interested.

Engine skid plates are still available from Ricochet, they just don't advertise them as such. These fit the Tri-Z like a glove.

Man..I hate doing this. Buying a part I dont need yet, that they wont be making in the future. But I do NEED that skid plate!

Put me on the list, or I suppise I should get in touch w them directly do You have a Website address? Im down for a $125.00 but the $175.00 would be too steep for me to justify, my "entire bike" only cost $700.00. Hopefully he can get the price a lil more reasonable,hopefully. Frustrating as could nab a 250R slider for 1/2 that..The Tri Z can really use a skid plate! The stocker just gets annialated and cant keep it looking good.

Okay I contacted them and I am on the list. My impression was they are very close to rolling with these. I am not a very good E-Bay person but maybe we could scrounge up some orders by placing an ad in various classified forums any suggestions let me know how I can help. It's a big world out there I bought parts for my rz350 from all over the globe if they place an ad on eBay that my generate half a dozen sales or more for them hopefully

That's a good idea.... I have a big eBay store I'll see about running a "pre-order" for them. And just FYI if I get it up it will be listed for more $$$ than they are.... this is simply to cover eBay fees and all the fees associated with them and PayPal.... not for personal gain.

Any chance you can just copy the pic of skid plate from that thread which has over 500 posts and put into this group buy thread.

If you are on a phone and look at that build thread you will get discouraged trying to find the post with the pic

OMF makes some sick hardware. Love their wheel conversions.

I'm in no hurry whatsoever..just checking to see if there are any updates that anyone has any knowledge about. I dont want to miss out on one if & when they come to market again.
