I'm actually looking to adapt a warrior 350 swingarm for my rear suspension I just need to know the carrier mount width at the end of the swingarm and the pivot tube diameter.
I'll have to mesure the OD of the pivot tube for you. The carrier is stock so I beleve that you can use your current frame to find out the width. I'm excited to see how this comes out I have another 185s that I would love to suspend.

Thanks Hopper055, the pic below is the main measurement I need in addition to the pivot tube OD.

Sorry it took so long for my response. I just got a chance to take the suspended 185s to work to measure it. The od of the pivot tube is 28.6mm painted. I couldn't get a good angle for the other measurement. But like I said before it is the same as stock. My stock carrier bolts to it the same as the stock frame. If you still need that measurement for any reason just let me know. I still have the piece that I cut off my frame that I could measure for you I just have to find it.

Thanks Hopper055, no need for anymore measurements, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get it to work. Fixing to pick up a warrior swing arm here pretty soon. I'm determined now, so I'll make it work. Made a little more progress on the bike. Motor is in the frame now. Either, before the rebuild it was just wore out, or I'm just not used to the compression a 10.25:1 piston has. I'm glad I kept the decompression lever. I bought the aftermarket CDI not because I thought it was a better unit, I bought it because it had the pigtail and I wanted to run weatherpack connectors. I'm pretty sure all the 5 pin CDI's are the same, so I'm not worried about it. Since I'm making a new wiring harness I put new heat shrink on the stator/igniter wires. Also, I will not be running the mudbug tires, there just on there so I can roll it around. It will get turf tamers, or holeshots eventually.

    It runs!

Got the motor cranked up last night and I'm very happy with the way it popped off and ran so good. Everything on the harness needed to make it run is hooked up, just gotta get a Kohler reg/rec and a master switch and I can hook up the lighting circuit. Put a bigger carb on it, because it was complete and it sorta fit. Figured it was gonna need to be rejetted, but surprisingly it ran great with open header and no air box/filter. I'm assuming it will need to be rejetted when I get a full exhaust and air box put on. Also, put the throttle setup off my parts yz250 on it and it worked, so I might run with it.

Gonna try and adapt this sbc 350 motor mount for my swingarm mounts. Will probably have to beef it up just a little.

Aight before I get to the suspension, here's a couple things here and there.
    New Uni Filter.

    PZ30 30mm (carb I'm running) vs original 24mm carb

The stock air box-carb boot will fit on the pz30. I just put it in boiling water for a couple minutes and it let it stretch out enough to fit the carb.

New 30mm intake manifold to match up to the pz30, I will eventually port the head to fit it.

Don't have a picture yet because it's still in shipping, but I ordered a 200x DG RCM exhaust to use on it, so that will be added soon.

Now the Best part, rear suspension!

I ordered 90-04 Yamaha Warrior 350 swing arm to adapt to the bike, and it almost bolts onto the 185s carrier/axle. The top two bolt holes are a direct bolt on. The swing arm carrier mounts are about a 1/4" to 1/2" narrower than the 185s carrier is, so that will give me a little wiggle room to adjust left or right for chain alignment. The bottom two that are slotted don't quite match up, but there is enough room to drill new holes and run a bolt on chain-tensioner.

As far as mounting it to the frame, I would love to fit it in between the motor and frame for strength but I just don't think there is enough room there, so it might have to be mounted outside the frame from the motor. I drew up the mounts I'm thinking of creating to use with it. The mounts will be 3/4" wide with two 1/8" plates and a sleeve welded between the two plates. The sleeve will be the old pivot tube, cut up, since I got a new one with the swing arm rebuild kit I got, so there won't be any slop.

Depending on whether it gets mounted inside or outside the frame it will add 4"-6" to the wheelbase.

I'm setting it up for 20" rear tires and a 23" front tire. Front tire will be a Kenda Front Max and I haven't decided on the rear yet, but it will be 20x10-9. I'm going to try and get the countershaft, pivot bolt, and axle in as straight of line as I can, accounting for sag due to rider weight.

Not sure if I can use it yet but I have a 92 YZ250 rear shock I'd like to use since I had it on a parts bike and its basically free.

If yall see any problems I may encounter or would like to make any suggestions, I'm all ears. I'm not gonna say I'm qualified to do this, but I do have a decent understanding, decent welding ability, and I'm currently going to MS State University for Civil Engineering, which has been tough but I'm enjoying it so far. Also, because of me going to school, it may be a little bit between post due to having a 3 hour drive between school and home on the weekends.

    !

Now you've given me another project to add to my list!

Modifying suspension for a hard tail frame. No wonder I never get anything done!

Tacked it in place where I thought it needed to be the first time but with the chain tight at full droop it had 2" of chain slop at 6" of suspension travel. So I cut the tacks and raised the pivot point 3/4", tacked it in place again, and it completely fixed the slop issue. From full droop to 6" of travel I have zero change in chain slop and the chain barely rest on the slider at full droop and clears it by 3/4"-1" at what I plan to be rider weight sag, around 3".

You should make an independent thread about doing just the swing arm modifications/installation. Less stuff to sort thru to find the info in the future.

Little update, figured out how to make the yz shock work hopefully. Will be deleting the airbox and running a pod filter, it will allow me to use warrior 350 linkage and lean the shock forward like most bikes have it.

She's so long now, really wanting to get the 20 in tires for the rear, but these 25s show you just how much longer it is. The warrior 350 swingarm ended up adding 7 inches to the wheelbase. DG exhaust sounds great, still young dont care too much for quite bikes, didn't realize though, that the DG setup was basically a straight pipe with a resonator on it haha.

On the to do list other than making it look pretty is
    1. Subframe braces.
    2. Larger gussets for the swingarm mounts.
    3. Make upper shock mount.
    4. Make front linkage mount.
    5. Get the carb to work with air box delete and new DG.
    6. Chain tensioner.

Got the linkage hooked up and will be making the upper shock mount tomorrow. Then chain tensioner, test ride, and million small things that every project has haha.

The linkage allows for 8.5" of suspension cycle.
