    Brandon's Tri-Z Build Thread

Ok I am going to try to keep all updates and questions related to my build to this thread which I will consider my official build thread. I have several other threads on specific topics that have led up to this, so here we go... I will start off with before pictures. I took these tonight before I started stripping it down. I will post updates as progress is made... the goal is to have it ready to break in good in time to have it dialed in for Trikefest!

    Brandon's Tri-Z Build Thread

I like them pretty good.... the only thing I don't like is they are only 2 ply so it scares me riding in rocks and rough trails which is most of where I ride so I am probably going to swap them out for 20" hole shots... these are 22" on there now

Yea they are nice tires, they grab really nice yet still slide around corners good. So far I've had no trouble with them

Any idea what that kickstart is off of? It isn't a stock Tri Z kicker. If you plan to keep using it you need to be sure that it is contacting the foot peg when it comes down and not rotating any further, or you may end up cracking your very expensive cover.

I actually had no idea it was not a tri-z kicker. It hasn't given me any problems so it never crossed my mind to look at it. Is the chrome one in your picture a stock Tri-Z kicker?

It's actually just zinc plated as I was afraid that chrome might weaken it, but yes aside from a little polishing that is what a stock kickstarter looks like.

From what I've seen they aren't exactly cheap. Not sure why that is. I've read on here about guys breaking them, I just can't imagine what it takes to do that though.
