I should have a really cool update on this build that will be super cool if the deal works out. I'm just waiting for the payment to clear on his end through PayPal and once I have possession of the item I'll post pictures of what I picked up. Definitely a rare piece that I've found I can't wait to share it but I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch lol.

    Stay tuned!

Yes. Possibly a Tom Carlson built 200x engine or at the very least a clone.

The only thing left to find now is an oldschool aftermarket swingarm for it if possible. There is a guy I've talked to on Facebook that can build me a new if I dont end up finding one. I'd be looking for a westcoast or calfab and the matching skidplate (I know at least one of them offered it) if someone would be willing to part with them.

Well I'm slated to come back home March or April of 2020. I have a few little repairs to make to the frame but after that it's just deciding one what color to do the frame and other parts.

A few more parts showed up for the 200x today. My wife took the pictures for me.

Nos nasa fork stabilizer, air bleed balancer hose and front fender mount hardware and fork caps.
I know this is a 2nd gen but I believe the forks I have are 1st gen so the parts I have will work. Gotta love old school parts!!

Nice, I’ll give u a set of white fork brace rings (the plastic inserts) next time I run into you. There just sitting here collecting dust (made a few extras I’ll never use) but good to have spares just in case.
If your going to open up that engine be sure to take some pics.

Found an NOS 87 kicker and shaft to upgrade my current setup once I get to that point. I know there are some modifications that need to be made but that's fine.

Is that auction still up? or did he end it?? I tried to get him to end it early for less than the opening bid but he wouldn't budge.

I could've grabbed it, but, I've already got a few, sometimes I feel like I just buy, buy, buy and buy...

You can bore your 86 gear to fit, probably need to get some thrust washers etc, but otherwise it is all similar once modded.

One problem I found is the cover. I thought I could just bore the center, and order a different oil seal. But, for some reason, Honda changed the O.D. dimension of the seal too. That meant I had to bore the thru hole AND a blind flat cut for the seal. But, it case all be worked out....

If you can't find an 87 cover, I made a jig to bore the 86 cover to fit and can help.

Loving all the great parts so far!!

I bought it. I didn't like the price but that's just part of it I suppose lol. I figured with a built engine the kicker would be a needed upgrade.

I have now have 3 engines and 3 kickers (4th should be getting shipped from the kid I bought the dual plug engine from. He forgot to put it with the engine when he packed it up).

Only part that I really want to get now is an extended swingarm to complement the extra power I'll have and width of the axle.
