    Tecate mystery shock

So had my "tecate" works shock rebuilt last week and just got it back. I didn't put much thought into it but I put it side by side to the stock shock and it's substantially smaller. Eye to eye length is still the same. I'm starting to believe it may be the wrong shock it looks way different than the current works shock for the tecate. I have the original receipt from works which clearly says tecate on it. Is this just a older model or is this something completely different? Any insight on this would help!

No one knows? I just bought a Raptor 660 shock for it and plan on putting on a longer rezzie hose. This works shock ended up being pretty useless and its far too small to ever be a decent shock for hard riding...

It could be a 1984 Tecate Shock, they are smaller than the 1985 T3 shock.

I would just email the photo to works and ask them.

It may just be an older Works Performance model from back in the day. I have an older Works shock on my 82 R and it has smaller diameter springs than stock.
