    Still looking - finding a clean OEM original 350X is proving to be hard - the search continues.....
    Presently own:
    1986 Honda atc350X
    1985 Honda atc250r
    1984 Honda 200es Big Red
    1983 Honda atc185s
    1985 Honda atc70
    1975 Honda Z50 mini bike
    OEM Hondaline Utility Trailer (mint condition - as new)

    I had the 85. It was the most difficult to start of any atv or bike that I have ever owned. A friend at that time had the 86. It was better in everyway than my 85 350X. I would say get the 86 and if you like the red plastic then swap it out.

    May have been a issue with your 350X. I don't think they came of the showroom floor hard to start. Should be a 1,2 kicker all day long if everything is in good shape.
