    help! informations about a bike

hi everyone , I'm Enrico and I write from Italy, I bought a 3 wheels dirt bike like the ones I see on your forum. It is in poor condition and lacks the engine. I'd like to send some pictures to know what model it is and what kind of engine fits in.
unfortunately here in Italy nobody knows these bikes, and from the photos I find on the internet I could not figure out what it is. all that I know is that it came from America on a ship in the 90s in the port of Livorno.
I hope you can help me. sorry for my bad english!!
    thank you

    regards

    Welcome!!

This will be a fun thread.

I have no idea what that is. Looks like a conversion of some type - not a factory 3-wheeler. Purely guessing.
I don't have good ID skills of 80s/90s dirt bikes but I'm curious what others see here.

Looks like a Maico dirtbike frame

Edit: also looks like an old KTM frame....Or if a Maico/M-star had sex with a KTM

thanks a lot ironchop, you're really cool. including engines with the right chain to which I thought I could not remember the ktm of those years. at this point I think that this bike was built by a craftsman, with others 3 wheels material, such as shock absorbers and the rear seem those of a tiger.
thank you so much of your availability and expertise

    greetings

Im no expert on these bikes at all. I had seen this frame backbone before but couldn't remember which make it was. Reminded me of a Maico but their backbone had holes instead of slots in it. That got me close and the rest was a Google image search of European dirtbikes to find the specific one.

I'd love to see this get built again!
