    Cool bird pic

Dozer life here, fixing the tensioner on the idler on the Oliver
On a plus note, I have an unbelievable boring and facing head coming to me. Fully automatic, very cool and it will make boring so much more enjoyable

Looks like fun. I use to have a jd420c
They're used to be a guy called "crawler heaven" in upstate NY. He specialized in small older crawler parts. Passed away a few years ago though.

I just love that you make your living with the precision of dexterity of your fingers, but you're smashing around this old rusty iron every chance you get ! I need to do the same job on mine, but it's a 850K Case with 28 inch LGP pads...

What are all the "Classic Tractor Fever" guys using for paint on these rigs?

Is it regular automotive finishes? PPG? Single or base\clear? Dies anybody PC them?

I dunno, I started out doing complete paint jobs. As the collection grew, time became short,I began to value function more than form, got old, got lazy, grew to like patina I haven't painted in years minus something that I need to protect. If u find out let me know!

6bt, heck of a project! Sounds fun

Atc, ya I gotta watch hands and fingers.this heavy old stuff can be a challenge.
Got idler off and parted off a new adjustment rod. I just gotta turn a relief and put it back together. Then I gotta rtv a gasket for the rear pto and change out the drawbar. Long term, make a front hydraulic grapple.

Sorry no pic, but a friends kid brought his untouched but gently used 1982 z50r over for me to clean his carb and to learn a few things. He's amazed that it will now start with one pump of your hand when not even sitting on it. He's a believer in old school simple now. Wish he'd sell me the thing ;-)

Good on you Pete! We either pass it on, or it dies with us. I wish I had a young kid hanging around my place looking over my shoulder.

Stop by here,,,kids all over. They keep me young or wear me out?? We haven't had a single day this summer that we haven't had "someone" staying with us. It can get old raising others unwanted kids, but somebodies gotta do it I guess. Yesterday was tractor driving lessons and fixing screens. Today is a funeral. My uncle put in 90 here and it was time to check out.

Sorry about your uncle. 90 years is a good run. Celebrate the life and don't mourn the death.

Sorry for your uncles passing. 90 is a nice long run.

It seems like your place is like my place in the summer. I don't know why everyone wants to come over cause I'm boring....but they do. I sincerely appreciate the time we spend together. When everyone eventually leaves I enjoy, the peace and quiet but in the same breath miss the times together as well.

Honestly,,,it was damn near a party ! Smiles and laughs all around. He had been in a home for 6 months. That's worse than jail. He was ready. 90 is a damn good run for sure. His 92 yo Brother is heading up this week from Alabama for a week. He can work circles around most kids today Thanx Knappy and Pete, I appreciate it.
