Shep I am so impressed by what you and Mr Swinehart do with these molds. It is such an important part of our hobby that we have guys reproducing such sought after parts. Thank you again for the headlight shell you sent me, and I meant to say that was the best packing job I think I've ever seen, haha. Thanks for doing this stuff guys. Looks like you've got the Kawi green pegged!

Went to Slab City yesterday with the local HOG group and felt frisky enough to climb Salvation Mountain.

It was hot but really fun

My whole life we've always called them "painted" turtles. I didn't even want to acknowledge the post about them, lol. I save a lot of them from dying in traffic so hearing about a group getting killed is like doh! It's like when you spend notable effort shutting lights off to conserve power then the roommate leaves for a 12 hour shift and leaves every light in the house on.

Here we have painted turtles, snappers, and the occasional tortoise, I think a couple kinds. The snapping turtles can get huge, they look like a dinosaur, and they mean business. I still help them off the road too for some reason.

If memory serves me, I think someone may have told me the painted turtle is invasive here. I don't know whether or not that's true but they've been here longer than I have. There is no shortage of them either.
