Old jlg? Looks like the basket of my 60ha. I recently picked up a tow behind genie 35 footer, but will probably sell it. Don't think I could part with the jlg.

A bit of spark erosion today. I needed to remove some cable from a clamp. HSS drill was a no go, I only had one 1/8 carbide endmill and I needed more depth

i really need to set up our spark drill for busting out broken taps and the like. How long did it take to burn the cable out? I've seen them, and have one but I've never used it.

I've been doing snow removal for the last 2 days, sidewalks, plowing lots, then some fill in salt truck driving. Dug and poured a big ole footing for a historic neighborhood sign, then pressure tested about 140' of underground fire suppression line. Now it's about nap time! 2 1/2 days left, then 11 days off in a row! Think that's a new record for me. Self admitted workaholic

To be honest with ya I had never heard of spark erosion before, had to google it. What are you using for your dielectric fluid? What other at home shop projects do you see this working on?

Thing has been sitting for 10 years, so very few!
I have used for bolt removal and something else that I can’t remember.
I have used edm dielectric fluid but that went bad so I used deionized water. A lot more splatter, likely will order some edm fluid again for when I use it again in 10 years

Quick project for Xmas present for wife and I (Our first date was fishing 27 years ago or so)
First time we have bought ourselves rods and reels. We want the customer out with a paint scheme to match the boat. Crafty one customs did a wonderful job.

First a gratuitous shot of the Milwaukee battery powered chopsaw. Love this thing. Glad to cut the cord

    Picking up the rods.

    Nice match to the boat

Chosen reels were two bait runners- Shimano Thunnus 6000

    Two Conventional, Diawa Saltiga 15h

Two troll rods, 2 speed Shimano Talica 25

    All installed

    Nice!

I miss my boat. Maybe one day I'll go back...when I have more time to use it.

Time to show the R some love. Inverted fork rebuild on the 250R, polished up the wheels, and sold some old truck tires on Craigslist.

Cool, The other rods in the background are the old ones that we’ve had for 27 years. They have held up well but time to actually get something new. We went with the two trolling, two spinner for live lining live bait and two conventionals for bottom fishing.

We will keep the old poles for friends and family use.

I hear you about the time aspect knappy

There always seems like there’s something else better to do. With the new upgrade in the boat it has forced us to use it more which is encouraging.
As I also get older, I’m hopeful I can spend more time on the water. I considered a six pack license versus commercial fishing license but we will see

    Pics of that 250r red?

Shop time will be few and far between over the next few weeks sadly. A quick project on the jeep and I got to use the Forge

Now that I have the doors mounted, only one door had a restraint peg and I did not have any of the original straps. I also do not have a sewing machine, so I cut some binder straps for the restraints, some old chain and tacked it together as a buckle(s). Hopefully that will work in the short term. Also forged a pin to match the one I had.

Here it is on it's last outing, right before Thanksgiving. I've got a few more maintenance items to take care of, that cropped up on that last ride (Sticky throttle cable & exhaust spooge leaking past exhaust flange o-rings). Nice work on that door pin.

    Oooooooooo

    Gorgeous bike

    I wish I had dunes

I am 90% scared of my 250 R. (I’m not as manly as all of you guys.)Nevertheless I just want to bomb around in the fields but I really don’t have any place that I could experience the power safely. My trails are to rocky. That was the reason that I had to sell the big husky bike. 500cc two-stroke dirtbike on my trails was a recipe for disaster
