Started back on this old project. 22LR 1919 browning conversion. I had some pierced primers. Before shortening the spring a bit I considered whether the 22 cartridge was really seated into the 30 caliber “dummy” round. I seated them gently with a press to ensure they sat against the shoulder. There was some “stickiness” in the last 1/16” that makes it hard to seat with thumb pressure. No piercing. I will have to take the dummy rounds and make sure that they are fully cleaned up any cosmoline that is possibly causing the interference.

Sweet, I remember the issues you had before with the primer piercing, nice fix! Here's the dumb Canadian question, is it full auto still or do you have to cock it each time; or semi auto, I forget? Can't say I've ever shot a 1919 with a bipod before! I guess the tripod is a bit of overkill for a .22, lol.

Me and my oldest son have been wanting to take a nice long adventure trip and he is going to pick up a KlR as well. We were thinking from TJ Mexico to Canada. We would need at least 3 weeks but could make it a 2 week trip. My son is a school teacher so although he does summer school he could opt out and have nearly 3 months off in the summer for the trip. I could not. Not only that I hate riding in the summer...just too dang hot.
Canada you say, well sir come on up; and we're roughly 8 hours North of the Montana border! You got a place to stay and a garage to park bikes in too.

Making 400ex swingarm bushings. I bought a frame, swingarm, and engine cases just for this. I've had a lot of requests for 400ex bushings so I decided to bite the bullet and start making those.

Picked up a new hobby while in FL this week. Bought a trainer lite and belt to practice flying for a kite board. Lots to learn

Kite boarding, looks fun, not much real estate around me to pursue such a hobby, and the water is kinda cold!

I've been battling sewer line problems for years, I was going to do a complete new tap but the city is being a PITA about their crappy road I was fixing to dig through. So I am doing a partial repair from the house to the city curb. Technically against city spec as I am digging in the right of way but I'm over it. Found the line outside the basement then traced it to the road. Going to run some new pipe tomorrow. Time off is great!

Wow, what a mess 90! How deep is the line, looks shallow to me?

Was only 5-5 1/2 feet deep. The main in the road is only about 7. Shallow as far as I'm concerned, last sewer repair I did was almost 20' deep.
Crap load of tree roots, pipe had 3 hack job repairs. At least I know the first 48' isn't jammed up. Next time I've got to rip into the road and that gets a little bit tricky

We have a portion of our main that is problematic to clogs but it's right under the driveway and I don't want to get into that.

So far the old Harbor freight router seems to free it when need be but I may give the Clog Hog a try. Seems like a great idea/tool.

Look into a jetter hose and nozzles for your pressure washer, They work pretty well. One thing that gets me in a surefire bad mood is blocked sanitary lines, (at my own house anyway.) At work I'm the foreman but today I was back to operator, bottom guy, pipe fitter, and head shovel operator. The last 8' took me darn near 1 1/2 hrs to get apart and back together. Dug it by hand. Good exercise I guess!

After dealing with my well and 100’ of digging, the novelty wears off for sure
