Still moving slower and not lifting sucks. Everything in the world seems to weigh more than 10 pounds, a cat sitting on my lap effectively trapped me

My dog just had an encounter with a bunny nest in the yard and the outcome was not pleasant for the bunnies.

Changed some riding mower tires today.

Old and dry rotted, but one was still holding air. The other apparently got a shot of Fix-A-Flat sometime in the past. Both are original tires AFAIK, the wheels for sure are original and probably ten or more years old.

Photos show exactly why I can't stand the stuff and any of the water based flat repair products out there.

What are you doing today? Thread

Went grocery shopping. Wearing a mask thingy- mandatory in several towns now if in public places a mask must be worn. I opted for a Halloween mask but wife said no......
Anyway being very picky and I change my mind several times before I’m happy with something, I spent the last few weekends casting alum, last night I stood back and looked at what I had/ it wasn’t going the way I had imagined..
So I scrambled through some boxes I found worn out, stripped threads, broken fins (pretty much junk pieces) head/parts.
This final result is what I came up with, quickly sanded (looks good from 2-3 feet away) spray bombed ready to go. The original head studs and hardware hold it all together so attaching it to elec bike will be so much easier now that the (chain cover is one piece). AND this side assembly only weighs 7-1/2 lbs compared to my casted pieces more than twice that.
I think by time I’m done the center head assembly (core w/junk valves and internals) not used will make a nice wall hanger.
    Stay healthy......

The middle slice that’ll be left will have, well I’ll put the junk valves, springs back in (where the heck did that missing
old valve seal go....) maybe put some junk rockers back in. Rocker shafts too were worn and know I have a junk cam too but the center case will only be 2-inches wide by the time I slice 1-1/2 inches off the other side.
Sooo I guess if anyone ever asks “where the valve seals go I can say “here” look
It’ll give me another project when and if I ever get this one DONE.....

    Nice work Shep.

I dig this pic I saw online. Awsome chop but by the looks of the Mrs. she's not happy.

They're probably in their 70's today

Soaked myself and covered the shop floor in used fork oil.

I was disassembling a crusty set of 250R forks with rotted wipers and looked like they had been leaking oil. I didn't even remotely consider they may have air pressure in them, before pulling the first drain plug.

Plenty of oil with air pressure, apparently.

I threw the T shirt and shorts away that I was wearing. That rancid old fork oil wasn't going anywhere near the washing machine and it's doubtful anything other than flame would remove the odor.

That's a bicycle brake on the front wheel!

I wonder if it was a legal requirement to have a front 'brake' where that bike was licensed. Those barley stopped department store bicycles back then.

Here’s the other side, notice the oil galley going up dumb luck I cut right through the center if it. An 8tpi carbon tipped sawzall blade cut right through (except where i had to cut through the piston dome area,(other side) some hard metal there.
Only good parts I cut were the very top head cover those are a dime a dozen
And the tensioner, well that was questionable. Now I have to find those two nutz that’ll hold this side together-
Anyway this side is done/ no lower part being done.

Raced our two 110’s down the gravel road today and the one half way good exhaust stud On my trike decided to back out making the spring I had holding the other side on fall off due to a broken stud on that hole. Time to pull the motor and freshen it up a bit.
