Nice XR 3-wheel. If u ever decide to sell it let me know, the wife’s been hinting to me the last couple yrs that she wants a dirt bike.
Almost bought one last yr, but found a siliconed up hole in the engine case.....
He tried to hide the patch with grease....I wouldn’t of minded fixing it correctly but him being dishonest he wasn’t getting my cash.

Anyway, “not for sale” but I need orange tank fins (i know it’s red but I have an abundance of red to use) going through trial and error before the orange ones. Also wanted the oem type tang on the back. So far so good....
I’ve gotta tackle some 83-85 tank rubbers most likely on Tuesday (ish)

Still on the cold side of the Rio Grande. I had a guy with a green card run some of my stuff across so I could finish my trailer, but I keep it to only what was necessary at the time.

If they don’t open the border up by the end of June I’m probably going to get my Coyote to do another run.

So the exhaust I ordered for my Harley was made in Mexico and we were concerned with it making it over the border amid the coronavirus, but it made it with no issues thankfully.

    Tires for my 200x

I am trying to choose between 20x11-9 or 18x10.5-9
I have found there are not many options in the 9 inch wheel category.
I ride trials and roads, I want t flat track style tire, kenda klaws mx or
    the sunf A005

I have wasted 4 hours on this. I have a 12t and 13t front sprocket, with stock gearing and a 22inch tire and 13t front sprocket it felt a little sluggish down low, So I
got a 12t and was going to drop the tire size. what do you all think?

What are you doing today? Thread

I was able to help my buddy tremendously today and I like having the opportunity to help people in my travels. This country takes care of me pretty good so I like when I'm able to give back.

My buddy had some exhaust manifolds to do on recent hemis. 2015-ish. One was an Aspen SUV and the other a Ram 1500. He did the Aspen first, two new manifolds and gaskets. There were two broken bolts, so he notched them and they both backed right out with a flathead screwdriver. Nice.

Next the truck. That only needed one manifold and gasket and that also had two broken bolts. The first one backed right out just like the others, and the second one was wiggling but didn't want to go.

That's where my buddy went wrong. He refuses to use penetrating oil on anything. No idea why. He owns a mechanical repair business. Instead of oiling it, he put his impact driver on it, the one you wollup with a . Then the broken piece of bolt got stuck. Aluminum heads by the way.

Then he drilled it but he was off center and one side of the hole was so close to the aluminum head that the EZ out was touching the aluminum and therefore couldn't back the bolt out. I can count on zero fingers how many times EZ outs have helped me with exhaust manifolds.

A and punch were useless. Then he asked if I could get it with a welding machine and I said I haven't not gotten one yet so those are decent odds. He sent me to Lowe's and I grabbed a $700 220v Lincoln gas or gasless. We didn't have time to dilly dick around with a gas bottle so I went in sans shielding gas with the flux core. There have been many times he's needed a welding machine already and I could have used it also, so it was time. It was our only option really.

I welded the nut on and first shot it bit good to the piece of bolt. This thing wasn't flush either, we were dealing with a crater at this point. He'd done more drilling while I was at Lowe's just to make it a bit more difficult for me lol. I soaked it in Freeze Off (again, I'd been soaking it overnight) and lightly rocked it back back and forth with the impact gun. Impact is essential for this but you have to be very ginger. You cannot force them, just rock it back and forth and get the oil in there. He was watching me and I said OK tough part is done, you see what I'm doing here right? I put him on the impact gun.

Well he got greedy and pushed it a little too hard and the nut broke off. That's how you learn though. So I buzzed a second nut on and wiggle wiggle wiggle, I got it out. That's huge for this guy because it's a very small business he owns. If the cylinder head has to come off that's bad news bears.

It was really bothering him overnight and it bothered me last night as well. We were both very glad it ended up working out today.

The last one i broke off, i had to do the same thing. Welded a nut to it and probably used half a can of freeze off on it, tapped it a few times with a and it came out.

I'm a believer in that stuff!

Messing around with a couple Yamaha 125’s I scored on Facebook Marketplace. Damn Corona Virus has me cooped up browsing the internet for deals. I should have a couple bikes running soon, or at least a nice parts collection!

The TTR125 seems to have the cheapest aftermarket parts, compared to Honda. Complete top end kits go for less than $100 shipped! Mabey I’ll build a trike out of one soon.

I got the 2nd TTR cheaper than the 1st one & it came with better parts & an engine in pieces.

I've never purchased anything on Facebook marketplace. There always some killer deal somewhere too good to be true.

Today I, choose a new pair of shoes for my 200x I went with a pair of 18x11-9, I got some stainless steel bolts and finally bolted on my chrome headlight guard.
for the 185s I am flipping, I set the valves and that fixed my carb problem. lol man that is a nice size bike for trail riding, I went for a little ride with it. very nice.
That was the first time riding a 185.

If you're riding trails I'd go with the 20 in tire minimum. 18 is reducing your ground clearance significantly over the 22 in. stock height and you may end up beating up your swing arm, rotor or chain and sprocket.
