Dam, bought a z grill. Was going to get an egg, but I'm so busy all the time I didn't want to mess with it. I've logged some hours on an egg, guy I use to work for had every grill known and I was always cooking stuff for the guys, then he discovered my fish frying skills and took me off the grill and onto the fryer. Guy use to pay me to go catch walleye and perch so we had fish for work cookouts and his own personal parties.

Taking my son (aj) out to dinner, dang kid just passed his CDL licence test today..... first try,
theres an 83% fail rate for first timers. Probably the only 18yr old in MA that has one.
not bragging..... Just proud of him.
seems as though i wss just teaching him to drive a car. now he's surpassed me.
sooo done with this HOT/ muggy weather up here its so hard to get anything done while outside.
shep
oh, and these 83-85 200x fender rubbers are definetly not easy to do..tough little buggers......still trying though. Im getting trapped air on one side. I figure theres a learning curve to do them. hmmmm

Helicoiled some recoil threads. Y'all know, one bolt missing and hole stripped, one still OE with good threads in the case, one with a JIS screw, and another with a course metric bolt hamfisted in. No SAE bolts or lag screws though.
It was time to replace the rope, and I had the right size Helicoil kit already. I even said, screw it, and put the tap in the drill. Wasn't fussing with doing it by hand, had other crap to do. 10 minute job and doesn't look goobered up anymore or require five different tools to remove the recoil starter.

Actually, my YTM is all good there [wipes sweat from forehead]. This was on my 185S, which I installed a unknown condition, spare engine, I had sitting around for years. Just finishing up some things now that it's a known runner (smoking though).
I hear ya on the metric stuff back then. Think what vintage Triumph owners still go through for BSC fasteners.

Funny you mentioned that....
I just sold a box of whitworth sized wrenches, Whitworth taps and some Zener diodes I've had for years from back in my Pre-unit Triumph days (well, the zeners were unit era, but you get the point)
Love them, but Lucas the Prince of Dakrkness can eat a dick and Amal never made a carb that didn't leak out the primers and give you stinky fingers....... Oh and that oil "filter" inside the crankshaft can go f**k itself too
Haha!!
I must be the only guy on earth that never had a problem with Lucas stuff.
Of course my exposure to stuff with Lucas is very limited.... only on Bultacos and those are the only bikes I've ever owned European. My El Montadero would vibrate your fingers numb but all the Lucas stuff worked just fine and dandy
Just tearing out a little concrete.
Now I'm smoking some salmon
Been working in an alley in downtown re-routing sewer lines and installing grease traps and all sorts of stuff. Bunch of junk in a 3# sack. But, this morning I woke up at 3:45am went to the bathroom, looked at market place and saw a garage sale add. Address was 2 miles from the house. The rest is history. Gotta thank the wife for getting this for me on her way to work.
Cool, I’ve never seen one of those before, does it run?
