Thanks. I'm not getting that far ahead yet though.

I just rebuilt the forks on my XR650L and really wanted to do the Gold Valve thing while in there, but didn't have the recourses between everything else going on. Just getting them cleaned up, new bushings, seals, and oil made a world of difference. All the worn bushing coating (Teflon?) mixed with the old oil was like a sludge in the bottom, plus one was low on oil from a leaking seal.

This remark made me wonder.... Can pitted monoshock shafts be replated with chrome when rebuilding? General question, not model specific. Haven't got into rebuilding shocks yet.

There are companies that offer the service, Racetech for example.

    Sweet!

I remember I did a couple sets of wheels off 2 RZ350s....one red the other gold. The amount of time buffing then masking then painting then clearing took forever. But for projects like this God is in the details and it shows....good job!!

Little baby building pad today, DQ coming soon a undesirable section of Fort Wayne soon.

Side note, I even took the pic the correct way today, had lots of spare time to think about it. My help was pulling their weight! Got a new kid that graduated valedictorian and is a literal genius, cant hardly use a shovel but I'll teach him everything he wants to know. Beer 30 now.

4 fresh oil changes and some laps around the yard. The neighborhood loves that hooker with no baffle

That's a sharp 110 collection, but one person shouldn't be allowed to horde so many vintage frames.

I picked up this strange thing:

It's a tiny square, but two stroke, so I like it. All kinds of crazy designs, even the parking brake is something out of left field. Electric start, CVT, full suspension, and that classic early 80's Suzuki quad seat with the wide rear section (like the Quadzilla). It even has the ultra-rare Kenda RearMax tires.

Oh I’m sure there’s a few others on here King that have their fair share. It’s been a few years of making a commitment to finding and buying these. We’ve also sold four other racing frames. Unfortunately there’s only so much room. If we would have kept the 4 stroker cranks and frames we could have had 4 more. Like most collections so much money and time go into these it’s hard to recoup your cost if you choose to sell a built machine like these. The other side of that we get to pick and choose the builds we want to do now.
