What I am doing today is pondering whether or not I need new boots, or a roll of duct tape.

I'm thinking new boots may be the better long term investment.
Still a great ride even having to upshift a knurled metal tip with my foot practically unprotected.

Not my cup of tea, but it's a minty 2004 that I've put a lot of miles next to. It needed a carb cleaning once, a starter about 7 years back and started dripping from the oil filter another time, but that's it with what I assume are about 50,000 miles on the odometer.

He was asking me today if I would "do what you did to your Ducati" to it for him, I politely declined.

He's got some nice toys in his garage including an Aprilia Tuono and a couple of Porsches, one of which is an Orange 73 RSR clone with a complete 2006 turbo power train.

So we took our little freebie boat out for the first time this weekend. It was a resounding success! After some final tuning under a load on the water, I was surprised to see that old Johnson 33hp mustered 27mph on GPS pushing that fiberglass boat. It's actually faster than my brother's aluminum boat of the same length, the same exact motor but Evinrude flavor, and almost 200lbs lighter. And yes, we tuned his motor and set his points with a multi-meter to be sure his motor is running tip-top. Hull design plays a pretty big factor I suppose.

We LOVE this new-to-us little boat!

I actually have a quick video but I haven't posted it to Youtube yet. I'll put it up if anyone is interested.

Not today, yesterday. Went out of town to build a cabin. The owner says can you build my garage too. I figure why not spend an extra day at the lake. Ended up taking 3 days. 60x40x16' tall. Must be nice to have money.

Good quality never goes out of style and people with money have friends with money. Expect more work out of that connection

    Nursing a "splitting" headache...

I have about half of my firewood split, but I still have to stack it. It has already generated heat for me about 4 times, and I haven't even burned any of it yet.

The house is an old farm tenant house. It is only about 1400 square feet, but it is out in the open, and the wind WHIPS in the wintertime. And yes, it does need to be better insulated. Some of the walls still have brick between the studs.
