Hell of a stand
Let us know how containment works, I considered buying something similar, basically a big weathertech

You got me, containment? Weather tech?
The b-link channel mounted on the ply wood will give us an additional option for adjusting along with the turnbuckle itself. I do believe that once everything is locked into place it should hold a 27’ 600 pound tree. One issue I’m going to Have is mounting the brackets to the tree so they are flush.

Sorry, I type like I think
All over the place
Flat out busted hump today. Moved and burnt a cord? of rotting wood? I’m really not good with chords. Then cut down a rotting mesquite tree and stack the wood. My 16 inch chainsaw isn’t going to cut it (no pun intended) on this property. I overheated it at least six or seven times and it’s not long enough to go through the stumps that I’m going to need to trim down to the ground.

Wow
Lot of work!
You guys can keep your spiders, damn things scare the bejeezus outa me especially in under houses (crawl spaces).
Anyway I gotta few days off so I’m pouring stuff. This 85 Tri-z throttle rubber piece was a very hard mold to make!!!! After three tries(fails) and two mold “adjustments” I finally have two in a row that are nice. Yay!!! The pocket/sleeve for the frame attach point actually worked first try. I’ll show the actual mold later today, it’s busy at the moment.
I’m not even sure if these are sought after, I’m making 3 or 4 for a member here. But the mold is mine so I’ll probably make a few extras just in case.
Thanks for looking (I still can’t believe the mold actually worked)

The plastic tongue depressor is actually part of the mold, I drilled a couple holes in it so the mold material would hold it in place. There’s a metal locating pin in bottom of mold to center it(it’s working). I said I’d put a mold pic so.

Loading out some concrete. Real yawn a minute. Guys who tore it out to "do me a favor," piled it up right under power lines. If they would have just let me do it we would only be picking this crap up once, not 3 times. Good thing I'm charging by the hour on this one
Other than the new 1 ton, everything I own leaks something lol.
Failure by design, started mounting the doors on the Jeep after buying hinge sockets. The upper hinge was way off to start.
I considered just making a new socket where it sat but after looking closer, not only were the upper hinges mounted low, they were on the wrong doors.
I then noted that the lower hinges were also swapped making for a large door gap.
So everything came apart and put together the right way
First the lowers installed, gap fixed.
There is a missing filler piece creating a gap at window frame, u can see where the prior owner had affixed a shim. I may use the old holes and put some flashing on for the time being.
Doors are just for winter driveway plowing, the other 3 seasons, no doors.
I suspect the prior owner put lower hinges on backwards first leading to further and further errors. The other possibility is the lack of the filler piece and a crazy work around
