These fuel line zip ties came today- ive never heard of this type before, the head is curved to get a complete seal.
I put one on a 6mm line, just to see. To remove just cut the head off.

    Shep got multi-trade skills too.

I love construction as much as machining and welding and the best part is that guys like us will never have trouble finding work

I didn't know they made these. Thanks.

I use zip ties on fuel lines much more often than clamps. I'll have to buy a bag of these

    It's an 88 and a survivor.

I took it for a longer ride today with no hiccups at all. This temporary repair will do for now.

What are you doing today? Thread

Bow your heads please in a moment of silence as my most used tool has finally given up the ghost today. This Hitachi angle grinder has been with me since probably 2006 or so, not exactly positive. I use this for everything and it has cut and grinded every project of mine for at least the last twelve years. It's had a hand in my first extended Tecate swing arm, the building of the Tecate 500, and my bumper build last year, as well as hundreds of projects in between. It has been a fantastic tool and I have to go to the store now and find a replacement Hitachi.

Edit; replacement parts are available for it!

I have a hitachi 18v cordless drill that has shot probably 50lbs of drywall screws and been used to polish stuff and has even driven 1 3/4" lag bolts before and it still goes. It led to me buying a hitachi circular saw which is very nice for the money. Good to know they sell parts for their stuff.

My 18v cordless drill is Hitachi as well and is older than my grinder. I still use it every day but the batteries are pretty beat and the chuck has a hard time holding drill bits anymore. I might replace that instead of repairing it because cordless drills have come a really long way in 15 years.

I played hooky from work today. Got my bike and trike out of storage and gave them a bit of a clean. Pressure washed the decks too. Also my glasses came in today. I have not worn glasses in 13 years though I should be. Getting used to it again...Click image for larger version.

I've done everything with these guys for years.....and knock off batteries on amazon and eBay are plentiful and cheap and work good.

Glamy......we will be in Jacumba Hot Springs and Spa that same weekend with a small H.O.G. group. After the festivities make the additional drive and come on down. Cold beer for my brotato chip will be waiting.
