    Difference between 200x and 200es?

Hey guys I have a 84 250r and a 200es! There is a 200x for sale here in Australia but it's like a 4 hour drive from where I live and it's a bit rough. Just wanting to see what you guys think of the 200x? Is it similar to the 200es or completely different in power? Don't want to drive all they way but without any information on the 200x
    Thanks

The 200x was the first 4 stroke motocross type racing trike Honda made with full suspension and hydraulic front forks And is manual shifted plus has hydraulic brakes (your 200es front end is supposed to be suspension but most 200es front forks are frozen because they lack the lubricants they need. That's a flaw on Honda for the 200es.) Anyways back to the 200x. What year is it? 83-85 is first gen and then they changed the whole model and upgraded it in 86-87 with a 6 speed gear box (83-85 is a 5 speed). The 200x is some what fast but not as fast as the 250r... my 200x tops at 46 mph on the flats. ( my 200es only went 36 mph) the 200x models are kick start only. And I've heard the 86-87 top out around 55 mph ( I have yet to witness this).

The 200x models are pretty decent. The 86-87 is more rare than the 83-85.

Do you have pictures? If the engine is blown you can put almost any 200cc Honda engine in it!

I am 99.9% sure that is an 84. Ask the owner to look at the neck under the handle bars. There should be a sticker that says what year it is

I think he's out of his mind! I'd pay 800 tops here in the US. But with that said, how many were imported to Australia? Maybe his price is fair and that's just what the market is for them over in your part of the world?

it would be a relatively easy project where it's mostly complete. a great addition to the collection and ATC prices are only going up in value just my opinion of course and I may be a little biased as I'm in the process of building my '85 200x
