    2nd Gen 250r Gold Wheels

Anybody know if the the gold wheels are anodized, a coating, or painted? Also, can the gold color be redone? Already have an almost perfect condition front wheel, looking to buy a rear set but all I can find is worn out looking wheels for what I'm willing to pay. Can the silver wheels be coated the same color?

The 2nd generation rims are aluminum and gold anodized--the 1st generation rims are steel and painted. Yes, you can anodize them. I've looked into it and the only problem with anodizing is that it can be challenging to get a perfect match.

Unless your looking for a perfect restoration, gold anodizing some newer aluminum rims off a 400ex might be the way to go, plus its an upgrade to a 9" rim.

Thanks for the help. It won't be a resto, I just wanted the gold look. Its going on my suspended 185s build.
