Same as Mustang Fox bodies. Just a couple of years ago they were giving them away...... Now try to find an unmolested original 87-93 Mustang. They want your first born and your left n--! At least around my area.....

Been There...Dug That.
Presently own:
1986 Honda atc350X
1985 Honda atc250r
1984 Honda 200es Big Red
1983 Honda atc185s
1985 Honda atc70
1975 Honda Z50 mini bike
OEM Hondaline Utility Trailer (mint condition - as new)
1989 Honda FL400R Pilot - newly acquired.
1968 Corvette L36 427/390HP convertible
When the going price for a mint 350x is $13,750 I'm selling out .lol. when they are that nice and that expensive, it takes all the fun out of it,and it's too expensive to ride. The same happened to muscle cars back in the late 90s.
On a related note you used to regularly find rare parts on ebay and at good prices. Now rare parts rarely show up, and when they do the bidding goes sky high. Last summer a CALFAB swingarm for a Tecate went for $1700 bucks. Not too many years ago I was the only bidder on a CALFAB that went for $600, and I thought that was too high.
Been waiting for this thread. I'm in the southeast and you have to tell some sellers that their rusted out, smoking, fender stitched, front folks bent in so far the fender is hitting the frame, gas tank seriously dented and leaks, missing headlight, but the cracked shell is there (why???), who knows what animal got hold of the seat, 3 different worn tires with green slime oozing out of the valve stem, handle bar bent, 1984 Honda ATC 200s is "NOT" like the mint 86' OEM Honda ATC 250R that is "listed" on ebay for over 5 grand. Had to get that off my chest....LOL Talking about the bubble busting and prices coming down; a few years ago I bougt a very nice all oem 87' Big Red for $1500, shortly there after, the 3rd gen Big Red's shot up to around $3000-$4000 (nice oem one's) and more, now they're back down in this area to about $1800 maybe evern $1500. I think that most of the outrageous prices you see on some 3 wheelers especially like the one 200s I described are sold at a much reduced or fair price, if they sell at all. Don't get me wrong though, the liquid R's, 86' and 87' T3's and the 86' Tri Z in mint condition, or what I would call a mint rider, I can see them bringing good money, not outrageous $10,000 and up money though.
Didn't a 86 250r still in the crate go for over $48k a few years back on eBay? That's crazy.
Real men ride trikes!
Or just put in in a glass case still in the crate and use it as the best end table ever made.
Trikes Owned:
1983 Honda 200x - Durablue Axle
1986 Honda 250r - +2 westcoast
1984 Honda ATC 70 - Piranha 140 swap
1983 Honda 200e - Stepdads
Posting an AD with a OBO is going to get you offers of 1/2 your asking price.
I have sold a couple different things in the past. I always post up FIRM with a message saying I will lower my price if I get no response after a week on my FIRM price. Lower my price again FIRM. Keeps the tire kickers out.
I look at it like a silent auction... The buyer will may or may not jump on it. Wait and it maybe gone... Different way of doing things.
