Fabio, the problem between you and I is you will not let me have my "middle of the road" opinion.
My "smoke another bowl" comment was tongue in cheek, but it also generated the predictable response from you. Patterns aren't only applicable to others, you're quite predictable yourself. I've agreed the pot should be legalized and has medicinal properties that should be utilized, but the second I question if there could also be negative effects, I'm uninformed and ignorant of the facts, and I need to watch multiple more hours of "eye opening documentaries" so I become more educated on the "facts".
I admit that I feel that there is the possibility of other life forms, but question the validity of SOME of the "evidence" provided by self proclaimed "experts", and BINGO! I'm an ignorant pawn.

My Grandfathers brother died at an early age due to his alcoholism. My grandfather was a light drinker, but quit drinking except a very occasional Near Beer due to what alcohol did to his brother. My wife's grandmother was an alcoholic and died young. One of her other relatives committed suicide due to an alcohol/depression combo. I have a small handful of friends who drink themselves into a sloppy puddle of mush every time they drink. One friend in particular drinks like a fish, smokes a pack and a half to two packs a day and smokes pot like we did in high school (pretty much all day every day, including at work) has had what I'll call "incidents" that he has told me about. He has described them as feeling like a mini-stroke or maybe a heart attack, short term memory loss and he now has a blind spot in his right eye (all symptoms of high blood pressure) that affects his driving, motorcycle riding and shooting skills. His daughter took him to the ER and they told him his blood pressure was thru the roof and he needed to be checked out. Myself and a couple other friends have told him to go get a check-up and find out what is wrong. He tells us: "If it ain't broke don't fix it." I told him "Yea that sh!ts normal." He just doesn't want to be told that he needs to get rid of the coffin nails (ciggy's) and booze. He has yet to go get an exam.

I was born in 1960, so I was around for Vietnam, the race wars of the 60's, "Make love not war", "Tune in turn on", "Flower power", etc, etc, etc. Even tho I was only a child, I couldn't help but think how f'ed up sh!t was and why can't people get along. I've watched decades of "Revolutionaries" and "peaceful protesters" promoting peace, brotherhood and togetherness, all while inciting violence, all supported by a media that moved farther and farther left over the decades. I've watched the divide in this country grow over the last 8 years to levels I haven't seen since the mid 60's and early 70's, and it's still the white man's fault, especially if your a rich white man. So, am I a little jaded and skeptical of a rehashed, repackaged version of "We're all humans, we're all one people" mantra? F'n-A right I am. Same sh!t, different decade. But I'm just a grumpy old man, right?
There's a place in the middle where all can get along and be happy. That means accepting others opinions whether we agree 100% or not. I'm fine with you believing that ETs are the answer to all of our problems. Me? I'll believe it when I see it, if I'm around to see it.

Scooter, I took no offense by that statement but you need to know that I didn't get my info from "sources under the condition of anonymity" or disgruntled ex-employeez....now since I don't take media claims as fact at all, I decided to read a small portion of the WikiLeaks and other offerings as much as time allows because there are literally hundreds of thousands of documents available. Government documents. You can't just take Assange or Snowdens word for it. You got to read the stuff. I can tell you that it confirms many "conspiracy theories" and opens the door for many more. That's where I get my info.
We are all friends so we can have an actual discussion here without it turning into face-dook. This is the only place in know of like that even though alot of what we say is merely echo-chamber stuff (everyone agrees mostly)

You don't bomb unless you want huge casualty rates and huge collateral damage. If you want to remove ppl from power, you send in the troops. Troops are more focused and selective. Bombs are not....And WHO in their right mind thinks bombs kill high-level officials. Do our own high-level officials stand out in the rain and wait to get wet? No. So why do we assume high-level officials in belligerent governments stand out in the yard and wait to get hit by bombs? No, they hide in bunkers while innocents die just like our own POS "leaders" so bombs, outside of leveling weapon factories are truly just meant for the highest body count.
If we bombed every government that murdered 80 of their citizens, we would be at war with China, Russia, most all "communist" or "socialist" governments and many who aren't. This whole "it's to save the innocent children" is a weak and pathetic argument imo.

The simplest fix I can think of for many of the problems in the world is for all the sh^t hole countries to adopt a constitution similar to that of the USA and follow it to the letter (you may want to try it yourselves)
The problem with that is that it would require ousting the bastards that are have created the problems in the first place. Corruption and greed is what holds back nations, be it from within or around, the effect is the same.

How much is gas in CA today? A few months ago I recall gas was much cheaper in CA than WA.
I just filled up at Costco for 2.50 a gallon for 87 octane in WA. My liscence tabs are 300 this year compaired to 60 last year....fuk taxes!

The bridge in Laredo is packed to the gills every morning with Mexican parents bringing Mexican children into the USA for a free education. How is this done? Very easily; groups of parents get together and rent apartments in Laredo and then register hundreds of children to the same address. That is all it takes. No one guarding the border, and no one in the school system gives a flying frack that this is happening.
Is this all the fault of the Mexicans? I don't think so. I have little doubt that the same Americans that were running across the border to fill up in Mexico when you hit four dollars a gallon a few years back wouldn't do the same thing if the Mexican education system was superior and they could get their children into it for virtually nothing. The difference is the Mexican system sucks and nobody down here is stupid enough to let someone from another country take advantage of them like.
It's the same song that we've all been singing for a long time; enforce the rules that are in place and all this garbage gets cleaned up very quickly. It's your panty waist self serving politicians that are letting all of this sh*t happen.

You take offense of me calling you ignorant, however it is you who chooses to be that way in the context of what it is I say. I do not say it to insult you, I say it to prod you, because regardless of what you might think I value your educated opinion very much. It's your uneducated opinion I can do without. It bothers me not at all that we disagree, not in the slightest, and it also doesn't bother me that you think in a completely different way as I. These are not my problems at all. My problem is when you reference things I say from the standpoint of ignorance, which regardless of whether or not you feel insulted by my saying so, that is not me trying to insult you. I always ask that all included in my discussions be educated, yet you inherently always feel the need to add your .02 even though you have no idea what it is you're talking about. When an unintelligent person says something unintelligent, I can easily overlook that and get past it. What grinds my gears is when someone INTELLIGENT, such as yourself, refuses to even brush up on the material which is being discussed then has to offer his counter point, which never makes any sense because you've clearly not familiarized yourself with the subject at hand. I have found myself in the biggest of disagreements over the last few years (off the boards) with those I hold closest, to the point that I had to ask myself why this was. I believe this is because I hold my most intelligent of friends the closest, and I definitely hold them to a higher standard. I have many friends, some not all that smart. When they fark up, it's expected. Conversely, when I see my very smartest of friends fark up, the disappointment rattles me because I feel they should know better. I hold you to a higher standard and I expect more. I really don't think it's much to ask for you to be educated on the subject at hand or not reply at all, but I hope you do.
What you're misunderstanding is that it doesn't bother me at all that you and I disagree and I love it when you post in my threads or we discuss things in other threads, such as this one. What does bother me is that your reasons are all wrong and don't even make any sense, and that's not because you're stupid (you're not), not because I don't like you (I do like you), and not because you're a pawn (that's a fib). It bothers me because you're smart enough to understand the material at hand but refuse to even look at it (as shown by your own words and replies which again, make no sense) yet must be my counter point. And very often an ignorant one. If that offends you then educate yourself and I'll have nothing to say. I really really really would love to see what you'd have to say about what it is I'd like you to see.

Coupled with real things you can hold in your hand backed by science and evidence (something a lot of you seem to have a problem with, yet refuse to believe you live in a make-believe reality) such as quantum physics and quantum theory, there is no doubt in my mind we can save this planet we've turned into such a turd. The law of attraction is such a powerful thing, it truly is, and I impress myself with what I can manifest using it. From what I've learned, the energy we could all put forth if we all willed for things to be better than they are would be unstoppable. I know what educating myself in this field has done for me, and I can only imagine what it would do if it were multiplied by millions or billions of people all with good will and all aiming for peace. This thread is proof positive. So many people with so many answers, yet the notion of peace is laughed at. Isn't that something? Can you see that, or does your brain block that? Everyone is OK with that though, again, because you're supposed to be. And I bet that offends you that I say that, because it's supposed to. Not because I intend it to, because you're programmed to protect that thought.

Nico, ppl here just look the other way or openly promote this lawlessness for several reasons:
1) low-priced lawn care and labor (yup, that's racist)
2) Pathological Altruism makes them feel worthy in the Twitterverse and Facebookland. That's why they're always pointing out how caring they are.
3) how else could you import over a million new Democratic party voters into the US every year.
4) people who hate conservatives so much that no matter how ridiculous and short-sighted a liberal policy is, if it infuriates a Republican, then they're behind it 100% (yup, it's petty but it happens) no questions asked.... Literally.

Here’s another issue no one seems to be trying to stop: Polygamy
There are literally thousands of people living in these communities in the USA and sucking the government tit. One man marries one woman legally and a half dozen more off the books and breeds them like rabbits. All the non-legit, or "sister" wives apply for welfare benefits and daddy gets the checks. Swimming pools, movies stars, oh what a blessed life the Father (and Uncle Sam) has bestowed upon them.
The girls go back into the gene pool as soon as they start to bleed and the boys get dropped off on the side of the road with instructions of “Suck, don’t blow, it’s only an expression” before they get a chance to use their “special purpose” on anyone’s future bride. They eventually make it to the nearest big city and get carriers on Craigslist.
So if one considers the many ways there are to spend tax dollars I guess educating Mexicans with them isn’t the worst way to waste them.
