ATC 200M motor swap into ATC 200S ???

Will a 200m motor swap right into a 200s frame? Anything i should know? Can I use the 200s harness, carb, exhaust and such? thanks

I'm not positive but it may be too big. It would hit front of frame I believe. Engine mounts are the same though. I just took a 200s motor out of a 200m and put the 200m/big red engine I had back in it. It seemed the 200s motor was much smaller in frame. The 200m engine probally has a starter in it so I don't think it would fit in the 200s. You could definitely put a 200s in a 200m though not that that would help you lol

Nope, it won't fit into the stock ATC200S frame. The starter will hit the front tube. However, it has been done, but the tube needs to be dimpled to allow sufficient clearance for the starter. Motor mounts are the same. A search on this site may show a way to safely dimple the tube. Probably dont want to start banging in the frame tube with a , as that might weaken the frame and cause other problems.

Also, since the ATC200M has a battery and E-start, the 200S harness will not allow charging of the battery. I think you would need to use a 200M wiring harness. If you wanted to ditch the battery and not use the E-start, the 200S wiring harness *should* run it. Not 100% positive on that though, but think it would. 200S carb, airbox, intake, exhaust, etc will all fit right up to the 200M with no problem.

If you figure out how to dimple the tube properly, and decide on the wiring/e-start, you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info guys. I knew you had to dimple the frame if dropping a 200m motor into a 1st gen 200x frame but was hoping i would get lucky with the 200s frame and not have to.
