Honda 350x Spark box

Hey guys, New here but not to 3 wheelers. I have a 1986 350x (picture below), has K&N air filter, 400ex carb and 450r exhaust. She runs like a top but I was looking to squeak some more easy power out with an AMR stage three CDI. After i put it on it starts and idles fine but anything past anout 1/4-1/3 thottle its starts acting up, almost like a misfire and cutting out. I understand it advances the timing curve, was just curious if any one else here has put one on and if you had to jet up after install to clear it up or if it worked right out of the box. I have the jets and have no problem tuning and reading the plug, but figured id ask if any one else had any expirence?

Holy crap, I have the exact same three-wheeler, the exact same issue and the exact same name. Did you ever resolve this? Please call me or text me at 509-930-5174 if you get this to tell me what the problem was.
