If all else fails cut the bad end off and weld on a spline from another Honda model with the same spline count .
I have done this many times and if done right you wouldn't even know

It's not the spline that is broken, it's the gear inside. The machine shop can't machine new teeth on it because it's hardned steelOriginally Posted by shortline10
